"Life in the Embrace of Death" is a dance performance created jointly with choreographer Liza Egorova as her graduation project. The performance is based on a parable-like story about the eternal struggle of opposites: life and death, light and darkness, black and white.

My main task was to find a cinematic language that would not explain the story through words but allow one to experience it through movement, space, and time. That's why, in addition to the classical montage version of the film, there is also a ten-minute single-frame version. The absence of editing cuts in this version became not just a technical experiment but an artistic technique emphasizing the continuity of human life and the impossibility of stopping the flow of time.

This project became for me a continuation of the exploration of dance language as an independent way of cinematic expression. I continue to be inspired by the possibility of telling complex stories without a single word, using only plasticity and artistic decisions.
